MEAD, Colo. — A man has been sentenced to 35 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections for the murder of his brother's girlfriend in September 2016.
Ronald Budler, 51, was sentenced by a Weld County judge on Monday.
According to an arrest affidavit, deputies were called to a report of a shooting on Hunter's Cove Road in Mead on Sept. 21, 2016, at about 8:30 a.m.
When they arrived at the home, deputies found Shawna Naimoli, 51, dead with two gunshot wounds to the head, a release says. Naimoli was the girlfriend of Budler's brother.
Budler pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in December 2018.
