2 dead, 1 injured after Denver shooting

No information about any possible suspects has been released.

DENVER — Two people were killed and a third was injured in a shooting Saturday night in Denver.

According to the Denver Police Department (DPD), the incident happened just before 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Tennyson Street, which is in the area of South Sheridan Boulevard and West Florida Avenue.

The three victims were all males, according to police

The Denver Medical Examiner's office identified the victims Tuesday afternoon.

They are Fabian Medina, 15, and Jose Contreras, 36.

Police said an officer responding to the scene was involved in a crash with another vehicle at 6th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard and sustained minor injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash.

Police are still investigating what led up to the shooting, and DPD said there is no available suspect information.
