BRIGHTON, Colo. — No arrests have been made but police have identified two people they believe were involved in a shooting that injured two people over the weekend, according to Brighton Police. No names have been released.

Officers responded to the area near Sandpiper Lane and Bromley Lane just before 8 p.m. Saturday for a report of someone suffering from a gunshot wound.

They located one victim and then learned there was a second victim also suffering from a gunshot wound in the same area, Brighton police said. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Residents were initially told to shelter in place but that order was lifted a short time later.

Investigators believe two other people involved in the incident fled the area in vehicles. They have been identified but no arrests have made, Brighton police said.
