PARKER, Colo. — Parker police are asking for help catching a suspect accused of impersonating an officer and trying to pull someone over Sunday morning.

The suspect was driving a white, unmarked sedan and began following the victim at the Parker Road and Cottonwood Drive intersection.

He then turned on lights and sirens at the Parker Road and Parkglenn Way intersection, but the victim did not pull over. Instead, the victim drove to the Parker Police Department to report the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man with short black or brown hair, under the age of 40. He did not appear to be wearing a uniform at the time and his white sedan didn’t look like a police car.

Parker Police said there was no other law enforcement in the area at the time.

Parker Police said anyone who is unsure if an officer is real can call 303.841.9800 to verify.

Anyone with information on the police impersonator is asked to call Officer Cashman at dcashman@parkeronline.org or 303.805.6527.
