Police offer $2,000 reward in double murder case

Adams County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance regarding an unnerving double homicide in unincorporated Adams Co.
The two victims pictured are 50-year-old Rae Lynn Gonzales and 18-month-old Fabian Gonzales

ADAMS COUNTY - Adams County Sheriffs announced Tuesday that they are offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest in the three-month-old double murder investigation of a grandmother and her 18-month-old grandson.

Rae Lynn Gonzales was babysitting her grandson, Fabian Gonzales, on January 3 when someone came into their apartment at 2812 W. 66th Pl. #4 and stabbed them to death.

"I dropped my mom (Rae Lynn) off at 4:30 and [police] found her at 8 p.m," the victim's daughter, Dawn Gonzales, told 9News in an interview.

The family believes that police need the community's help to find the killer.

"I believe [the investigation] is at a standstill that's why we need the public's help," Gonzales said. "Any information anybody has, as small as it could be, it could be the biggest lead."

Adams county sheriffs admit they have hit a wall in their search.

"Our detective division has been working tirelessly on this case trying to find out anything about it that can … bring some sort of closure to the family," Adams County Sheriff Sargent Paul Gregory told 9NEWS in an interview. "We have no new information at this time."

There is a $2,000 reward for anyone with a tip that helps police close this case.
