2 shot after fight between patron and suspect at Adams County sports bar

One person was shot in the leg, and the other was shot in their upper body.

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — What began as a dispute between a bar patron and staff ended with two people being shot late Sunday at an Adams County sports bar.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office tweeted that the shooting happened at the Ugly Dog Sports Cafe at 1345 Cortez St. at 10:50 p.m. 

According to a spokesman for the sheriff's office one person was shot in the lower leg area. The other victim was struck in the upper body and remained in critical condition as of Sunday morning, according to the spokesperson.

No one is in custody, detectives are still reviewing evidence and conducting interviews to identify and locate the suspect.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 303-288-1535.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
