Shooting suspect in custody after search in Jefferson County

Kenneth Sanders was found and is in custody, the Jeffco Sheriff's Office said.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) said a suspect has been found after a search Thursday morning and is now in custody.

JCSO said in a tweet at 8:04 a.m. Thursday that it was searching for Kenneth Sanders, a suspect in a shooting overnight.

JCSO said in another tweet at 8:36 a.m. Thursday that Sanders was found and is in custody.

Sanders had been last seen near Foxton and Blackhawk Road in Conifer, according to JCSO.
