The teen accused of driving while drunk and killing two women after crashing into their car appeared in court Thursday morning.

Taden Lee Jones, 18, of Centennial T-boned a woman's car while they were making a left turn from East Peakview Circle to southbound South Colorado Boulevard. Both women were ejected and died.

Jones was arrested after officers suspected he was under the influence. Police records indicate the 18-year-old smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes.

Jones faces eight charges, including two counts of vehicular homicide - DUI, two counts of vehicular homicide - reckless driving, one county of possession of a forged instrument, one count of driving under the influence, one count of possessing or consuming alcohol under 21 and one count of reckless driving.

His bond was set at $100,000 on April 2 and was not changed on Thursday.

He is set to appear again on June 21 for his preliminary hearing.
