KUSA — The Thornton Police Department is trying to determine if a driver knew they hit and killed a pedestrian sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred near East 104th Avenue and Riverdale Road – near Riverdale Open Space, according to a news release from the Thornton Police Department. The pedestrian was hit between 9 p.m. Monday and 5:50 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim has not yet been identified by the Adams County coroner.
Anyone who was driving in the area between these times – and who believes they may have struck an animal or object – is asked to call the Thornton Police Department at 720-977-5069.
