Thornton police looking for vehicle that hit pedestrian, left scene

The victim was in critical condition after the crash early Saturday at Colorado Boulevard and East 115th Avenue.

THORNTON, Colo — The Thornton Police Department was looking for a white GMC SUV that was involved in an auto-pedestrian crash early Saturday in the area of Colorado Boulevard and East 115th Avenue.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was in critical condition after being struck by the vehicle about 2:07 a.m., according to police.

The vehicle left the scene after the crash. Police said they're looking for a white GMC SUV with front-end damage that is missing the letter "M" from the GMC emblem.

Police released a grainy photo of the vehicle. Investigators are working to obtain a better photo or video, a Thornton Police spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the circumstances of the crash are under investigation.

Anyone who sees the vehicle involved in the crash is asked to call the Thornton Police Department.
