A man who was wounded in a shooting Sunday night in Lakewood in the 800 block of 800 block of Van Gordan Street has died from his injuries, a spokesperson for the Lakewood police department said Monday morning.
The victim, Anthony Rudnick, 27, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Van Gordon Street, just a few blocks north of 6th Avenue, around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to the hospital where he died, police said.
Sunday night, Agent Ty Countryman with the Lakewood Police Department, said the possible suspects fled in a car after the shooting. No arrests have been made and as of Monday morning, police did not have a description of anyone who might have been involved. However, in a news release, police stressed that they did not believe there was a threat to the public.
