Police are asking for the public's help to find Daniel David Courson - also known as Adam Scott Hopkins in Colorado - who's reportedly robbed 19 banks and has been fleeing police for nearly three years now.

According to a press release from a California police department, Courson was staying in Boulder under a pseudonym - something he's done before. He's believed to have left the city in the last couple of hours.

In 2006, Courson committed several bank robberies in San Diego and Orange counties before getting caught and serving eight years in prison, according to Detective R. Newton with the Tustin, California Police Department.

After his release in 2015, he became good friends with a person who was seriously ill and he started meeting with this person weekly. Courson soon learned this sick person was wealthy - and had jewelry, high-end art and large amounts of cash.

In June 2015, it's believed Courson entered the sick person's home while they were away and started taking anything of value. Before he could take everything the owner returned home and called authorities.

Courson fled before officers arrived with over $1 million in stuff from the house, according to law enforcement.

In April 2017, detectives learned Courson was in Park City, Utah and had started offering guitar lessons as "Park City Guitar Lessons." He'd also apparently started dating someone in Salt Lake City and would often drive between the two cities.

On May 8 of last year, detectives from California and Park City were tipped off about Courson's whereabouts. Before they could close in, he was tipped off they were after him and escaped in a stolen truck.

He's believed to still have the stolen truck, which is a silver 2007 Toyota Tacoma with TRD emblems and a small lift. The truck has black rims and tag number E048HU, investigators said.

Courson's known to have several aliases: Max Taylor, Scott E. Taylor, Max Robert Taylor, Mark Pavlik and Jeremy Penrod.

He's a white male, 6-foot-1, 185 lbs. with blue eyes and short brown hair that's greying and receding. He's fit, police said, and is known to alter his appearance by wearing wigs and shaving his beard.

If you see him, you're asked to immediately call police. Don't try to talk to him. Any tips can also be sent to 562-292-0140.
