Suspect wanted in west Denver shooting

Shaun Solano is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in the 100 block of North Osceola Street on Sunday evening.

DENVER — The Denver Police Department (DPD) has identified a suspect in a fatal shooting that happened Sunday evening in the 100 block of North Osceola Street in west Denver.

Police responded to the scene around 7 p.m. and found a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead at the hospital, DPD said in an update Monday morning.

Police said Friday that Shaun Solano, 42, is wanted on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the shooting.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
