Frank Capra's 'Mr. Smith Goes to Washington' returns to theaters

Frank Capra's classic film "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" returns to theaters in Colorado on Sun. Oct. 14 and Wed. Oct. 17.

The classic American film Mr. Smith Goes to Washington will return to movie theaters just three weeks before the country votes in the midterm elections.

Presented by TCM Big Screen Classics and Fatham Events, the movie is a David-and-Goliath story set within the walls of the U.S. Capitol.

The iconic Frank Capra-directed movie starring Jimmy Stewart will play in select theaters on Sunday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 17.

The film will be playing at 13 theaters in and around Denver including the Denver Pavilions and Colorado Mills. Tickets for Mr. Smith Goes to Washington can be found at FathomEvents.com.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington was nominated for 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor.
