Firefighters battle attic fire at construction site in Parker

A third-story apartment unit caught fire. No one was injured.

PARKER - Firefighters battled an attic fire that broke out at an apartment construction site in Parker Friday morning.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m., a third-story apartment unit caught fire at 11038 Twenty Mile Road, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control by opening up the roof, walls and ceilings. No one was inside at the time, South Metro said.

Investigators are at the scene working to determine the cause of the fire.

About 15 fire units and 50 firefighters helped fight the fire, South Metro said. No injuries were reported.
