DENVER – One in three women has been the victim of some sort of domestic violence, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control.
It is crucial for anyone experiencing domestic violence to find the resources they need to get out of that terrible situation. That’s why SafeHouse Denver exists.
The non-profit domestic violence shelter offers a 24/7 crisis hotline for men and women experiencing violence in Denver. If you need help, call 303-318-9989.
The shelter is holding an annual fundraiser this week, to fund an extended stay program for victims to get on their feet.
Sampling for Hope brings together restaurants from across the metro area, offering guests the chance to sample some of Denver’s finest food, with proceeds entirely benefiting SafeHouse.
If you’re interested in attending the event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday night, here is more information on tickets.
One of those food vendors, Yours Truly Cupcake, joined 9NEWS Saturday morning to show off their Margarita frosted cupcakes.
