BLAME EPISODE 7: FOR BETTER OR WORSE— Fifteen years after the death of Jill Wells, the people close to her still feel the loss.
They remember her as a sister, a mother, a friend, a wife, a nurse.
Jill’s sisters Joy and Lynn and Julie remember her as the favorite “auntie” to their kids, as a woman who applied herself in college and was later was absorbed with motherhood.
Julie describes Jill as the sister who pushed her to believe in herself at a time when she didn’t, who encouraged her to find an inner confidence and urged her to be assertive.
Friends from the hospital where she worked and the church where she worshipped recall her as kind and generous.
And they also recall something else – the problems in her marriage, the troubles with money and the questions about life insurance she bought just weeks before she was shot to death in an incident blamed on her 6-year-old son.
All of that is at the root of the suspicions of many people that Jill’s son Tanner may not have been to blame for her death.
