Three men working at an oil site in Weld County were injured after a fire broke out Thursday afternoon.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office said they were called about the fire at around 3:30. The oil site is located near Highway 392 and Weld County Rd. 71, about 20 miles northeast of Greeley.

When deputies arrived, they found the maintenance workers suffering from burns.

Deputies said two of the men were airlifted to the hospital. The other injured man was taken by ambulance.

The fire appears to be an industrial accident, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said Briggsdale Fire is taking over the investigation.
