Arizona man dies in commercial rafting accident on Clear Creek

The 50-year-old man was on a guided trip with Down Stream Rafting Company, according to the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office.

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. — An Arizona man died Monday morning after a rafting accident on Clear Creek near Idaho Springs, the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office said.

Around 10:30 a.m. the sheriff's office was notified of the accident in the 2500 block of Stanley Road. They were told that CPR was being done on an adult man.

First responders from numerous agencies responded and the man was pronounced dead shortly after 11 a.m., according to the sheriff's office.

At this time the victim is only being identified as a 50-year-old Arizona man who was taking part in a guided rafting trip on Clear Creek with the Down Stream Rafting Company.
