JEFFERSON COUNTY- A woman was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after she hit a bear on Interstate 70 Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 251 in Jefferson County according to a Tweet from the Colorado State Patrol.
The animal died as a result of the crash, CSP said.
