DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL — A Chicago law firm has determined that one Denver street is more dangerous than others when it comes to riding your bike.

Lincoln Street from Speer Boulevard to Colfax Avenue is the city's most dangerous street for bicyclists, according to research by Rubens Kress & Mulholland.

The law firm said it "studied data from cities with a population of 500,000 or more to find the most dangerous stretches of road for bike riders based on bike collisions, injuries and fatalities."

"Of the 34 cities on our list, the cities with the highest pedalcyclist fatality rates are Albuquerque (8.94 pedalcyclist fatalities per 1 million people) and Tucson (7.52 pedalcyclist fatalities per 1 million people), according to the NHTSA. Dallas and Indianapolis had the lowest pedalcyclist fatality rates with 0.77 pedalcyclist fatalities per 1 million people and 1.17 pedalcyclist fatalities per 1 million people, respectively," according to the law firm, in a statement.
