The new owner of a southern Colorado home found it was still occupied by the previous owner's dead body.
KKTV-TV reports that real estate investor Hootan Emami purchased the Fountain home at auction and was looking through his purchase with a contractor when he saw someone on the bed in the master bedroom.
Emami says at first he thought it was a squatter, but quickly realized it was a dead body. He says he called police and fled the home.
Officials say it's unclear how long the woman's body was in the house, but that it had clearly been a while. The house was foreclosed upon because the payments hadn't been made in several months.
