WELD COUNTY — Two people have died after a car and train collided in Weld County north of Platteville, according to the Plateville Police Department.
At about 6 a.m., a Nissan Altima collided with a train at the intersecton of Highway 85 and Weld County Road 34.
Two females were inside the car at the time, police said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police that the Nissan possibly ran a stop sign at the intersection prior to being struck.
