BOULDER COUNTY — Climbers found the body of a man just before 7 a.m. Thursday northwest of the First Flatiron on a ridge at the Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) property near Chautauqua Park, according to a release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

Rescuers responded to the area after receiving a 911 call and located the 32-year-old victim. Climbing access to the First Flatiron will be closed while they investigate the man's death and recover his body.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death, although foul play is not suspected.

The victim's name is being withheld until family members are notified.
