Denver police looking for car with hot pink spray paint following hit-and-run

The driver was headed south on South Quebec Street and struck a pedestrian at East Jewell Avenue just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

DENVER — A vehicle with what appears to be hot pink spray paint on the driver's side is wanted in connection with a hit-and-run.

The car is described as an early 2000 dark green Volvo sedan. Its driver was headed south on South Quebec Street and struck a pedestrian at East Jewell Avenue just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, according to a Crime Stoppers bulletin.

The driver did not contact police or render aid to the victim. Police said the victim, an adult male, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information should contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. The tip line is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
