Eat The Bean Challenge has news anchors gagging for charity

The #EatTheBean Challenge raises money for the Skin Cancer Foundation by challenging people to eat Jelly Beans with mystery flavors such as canned dog food or spoiled milk.

DENVER — The Colorado State Patrol is behind the #EatTheBean Challenge which has participants gagging as they help raise money for the Skin Cancer Foundation.

The rules are pretty simple. If you're challenged to participate, you can donate $10 and eat three jelly beans. Or you can donate $25 and avoid eating the beans. Either way, you still get to challenge someone else.

You might be wondering, what's so hard about eating jelly beans? There's a catch, of course.

The beans are from the Jelly Belly Bean Boozled collection. It has sets of two beans that look exactly alike but have very, very, different flavors. For example, the white jelly bean could be coconut or spoiled milk. That brown bean might be chocolate pudding or canned dog food. You won't know which one you're getting until you taste it.

In a video on Facebook, Trooper Lewis with the Colorado State Patrol directly challenged 9NEWS morning anchor Corey Rose. She brought along Amelia Earhart for the fun.

They didn't exactly enjoy it but were good sports. You'll want to check out Corey's reaction in the video to the "dead fish" jelly bean.
