COMMERCE CITY - Next week soccer fans will have the chance to meet players and coaches from the Colorado Rapids while enjoying great food and drinks.
The World Cup of Wine and Beer takes place June 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. It includes a silent auction, complimentary gaming tables, a photo station, wine, spirit and beer tastings in addition to food tastings from restaurants in the Denver Metro area.
It's a fundraising event for Kroenke Sports Charities that supports programs and services for children and families in Colorado including Denver Public Schools Foundation, Special Olympics Colorado, Colorado Adaptive Sports Foundation and several others.
General admission tickets are $75. That includes event food, libations and event activities. There's also a $50 designated driver ticket that includes event food, non-alcoholic libations and event activities.
VIP Locker Room Experience tickets sell for $350. That includes two event tickets, one signed Rapids jersey, photo/meet and greet with players and tour of the locker room, event food, libations and event activities.
