Denver — Some Denver firefighters became duckling babysitters Saturday night.

They were called to Yampa St and Green Valley Ranch Blvd at around 7 p.m. after several ducklings fell through a grate.

Mama duck took off during the commotion and hasn't been seen since.

The ducklings are all OK and the fire department said they'd hang out as long as they could in hopes of mama duck returning.

They later took the ducklings to a nearby pond. At around 9 p.m., mama duck flew in and was reunited with her offspring.
