Woman dies moments after being rescued from house fire

The fire happened Monday morning on Arapahoe County Road 157, south of Interstate 70.

STRASBURG, Colo. — One person died after being rescued from a house fire near Strasburg on Monday morning.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) said a woman died moments after being rescued from a mobile home fire.

The woman who died was in her 60s, ACSO tweeted. One Arapahoe County Sheriff's deputy sustained minor injuries.

ACSO said the fire happened at 9:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of County Road 157.

Crews with Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue, Sable Altura Fire Rescue, Deer Trail Rural Fire Protection District, Byers Fire Protection District, and United States Air Force Fire Protection also responded to the fire, the Sheriff's Office said.
