Police are thanking the public for helping them find a missing man from Sterling.

Wilton Swires, 88, has been found. He is safe and now reunited with his family.

Swires was reported missing after he left his house in Sterling at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to meet up with friends at McDonald's and never came back.

Sterling Police say Swires was last seen at Key Bank on N. 3rd St. in Sterling at 11 a.m.

Swires was driving a 2002 blue with gray siding Ford Windstar. The minivan has Colorado plates of 549 QVM.

Police say Swires was found just outside of Sterling on Wednesday morning.
