Plume of smoke visible for miles after RV fire southwest of downtown Denver

A driver was injured in an RV fire near Santa Fe and Dartmouth Tuesday morning.

An RV fire near South Santa Fe Drive and West Dartmouth Avenue sent a plume of smoke into the air that was visible for miles Tuesday morning.

The person driver the RV suffered burns and was taken to the hospital, according to Denver Fire Department spokesperson Greg Pixley.

Denver police officers helped with traffic control, and blocked the northbound lanes of Dartmouth for firefighting efforts and the investigation.

What caused the fire is not known at this time.
