DENVER — The Pre-K Pass from Elitch Gardens is back for a second season.

It was introduced last year and grants free theme and water park admission to children three to five years of age for the entire season. Children two and under are always free and do not require a pass to enter the park.

You have to act fast if you want to take advantage this year. The deadline to register for the pass is Sunday, May 19.

Once you've done that, you'll need to activate the pass. You can do that by bringing your child to the park with a valid birth certificate or passport that shows their age. The deadline to activate the pass is June 23 and there's a limit of two Pre-K passes per family.

Any child who is age five through the activation period of June 23 is eligible, even if they'll turn six later this summer, according to the Elitch Gardens website.

After the pass is activated, your child can enjoy the park for free anytime this season.

For parents looking at purchasing a season pass, adult passes are $69.99 and include unlimited visits to the theme and water park, free parking, free tickets for friends and free concerts. Season passes are available online at ElitchGardens.com or at any Colorado King Soopers location.
