EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. — A wildfire broke out Saturday afternoon in Eagle County, and investigators are looking for potential suspects.
As of Sunday morning, the Bocco Fire three miles northwest of Wolcott had charred around 450 acres, with 20 percent containment. Investigators are still looking into the fire's cause.
Fire managers say low humidity and high winds could lead to rapid fire growth and extreme fire behavior Sunday.
Eagle County emergency officials have issued an evacuation order for the Alkali Creek neighborhood. Nearly 40 structures are threatened to the north of the fire including homes, outbuildings, and ranch infrastructure.
On Sunday, a drone flying near the blaze forced firefighters to support air suppression efforts.
The fire forced the closure of Highway 131 between US 6 and Trough Rd. for hours Saturday. The road reopened just before 10 p.m.
If you have any information about the suspects, you are asked to contact the Eagle County Sheriff's Office or Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-982-TIPS.
