Colorado has some lovely parks. The ParkScore list for 2017 says so.
Run by the national nonprofit Trust for Public Land, the list ranks the parks in America’s 100 largest cities. The three determining factors are the acreage, the facilities and the investment in them, and the percentage of the population that lives within a 10-minute walk of a park.
Aurora is number 15, while Denver comes in at number 20 and Colorado Springs ranks number 42.
Eighty-six percent of Aurora’s and Denver’s residents have convenient access to a park, while 70 percent of Colorado Springs residents can quickly walk to a park.
