It's been five years since a grandmother and toddler were found stabbed to death inside an Adams County apartment -- and investigators are still looking for answers.

Rae Lynn Gonzales, 50, and 18-month-old Fabian Gonzales were murdered Jan. 3, 2014 sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at 2812 W. 66th Pl. #4, an apartment near West 66th Place and Federal Boulevard.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers on Thursday posted a new bulletin asking for the public's assistance.

Dawn Gonzales told 9NEWS in 2014 that the family "needs closure."

"It's hard to grieve while this person's still free," she said at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for an award up to $2,000.
