KUSA – Denver Water closed a stretch of South Sheridan Boulevard in the Westwood neighborhood early Friday morning due to a 12-inch main break.
Sheridan is expected to be closed in both directions between West Arizona and West Mississippi Avenues until midnight for crews to finish repairs to the road. The water main itself was repaired around 3:30 p.m. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
Eight commercial customers were out of water due to the break, Denver Water said in a news release. Their water was restored around 1 p.m.
The cause of the main break isn’t known at this point.
