Several water main breaks have been repaired, but crews will be working for several more hours to restore service and make repairs south of 78th and Sheridan in Westminster.

WESTMINSTER- Two water mains are repaired but crews are expected to be working several more hours to fix a break south of 78th Ave and Sheridan Blvd according to the city of Westminster.

Four water main breaks around the city interrupted service to dozens of customers Sunday night.

According to the city of Westminster, water mains have broken at 7591 Winona Court, 10699 Johnson St., 4975 W. 103rd Ave. and 78th Avenue at Sheridan Boulevard.

The Johnson Street break was a leaking fire hydrant, according to Westminster Public Works. No customers were affected.

Ten customers were out of service due to the Winona break, but repairs were finished late Sunday night.

Just before 7 Monday morning, the city said repairs at 4795 W 103rd Ave were complete. As a result of that break, 51 customers were without service.

Around 9 a.m. the department of public works said service was restored north of 78th Ave and Sheridan Blvd Crews were still working south of that intersection. Repairs continued south of that intersection. The break had cut off water service to the Pizza Hut next to the Grease Monkey, but no residential customers were affected.

The public is asked to avoid the listed areas.

These breaks come less than a week after six intersections busted in the city and closed down thoroughfares as crews worked to get a handle on the issues.
