Here are the wildfires burning in Colorado

Several fires started amid extreme conditions Friday.

COLORADO, USA — Several wildfires have cropped up in Colorado amid extreme fire danger. Here is a roundup of the fires burning Friday.

Silver Charm Fire

  • Location: Near Interquest Parkway and Interstate 25, Colorado Springs
  • Size: 17 acres
  • Containment: 75%
  • Evacuations: Order has been lifted (500 homes in the Farm subdivision on Ridgeline Drive were evacuated earlier Friday)
  • Structures damaged: None
  • Cause: Illegal hot work (welding, cutting, etc.)

Colorado Mountain Estates Fire

  • Location: Area of Bullion Circle in Colorado Mountain Estates, Teller County 
  • Size: 5 acres
  • Containment: 50%
  • Evacuations: Order has been lifted (North and central parts of Colorado Mountain Estates area)
  • Cause: Tree falling on power line

Allen Creek Fire

  • Location: 16 miles northwest of Lake George, Park County
  • Size: 13 acres
  • Containment: 100%
  • Evacuations: None
  • Cause: Unknown

Kiowa County fire

  • Location: North of Brandon/Chivington area, Kiowa County
  • Size: 2000 acres
  • Containment: 100%
  • Evacuations: Order has been lifted (Brandon and Chivington communities were evacuated earlier Friday)
  • Structures damaged: A few small structures were burned.  
  • Cause: Unknown

  • Location: Area of Bradshaw Road and Blue Lake Lane, Peyton
  • Size: 6 acres
  • Containment: Unknown
  • Evacuations: Order has been lifted (Peyton Highway to Highway 24, Bradshaw Road to Spencer Road were evacuated earlier Friday) 
  • Cause: Unknown
