It might feel like an unofficial kickoff to summer, but you can’t forget the real meaning of Memorial Day: celebrating and honoring those who gave their lives protecting our country.
So it’s fitting that the city of Brighton will have its Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial dedication on Monday.
Elias Huerta, an Army Vietnam veteran, and Jose Gonzales, also an Army man and Vietnam veteran, joined us on 9NEWS Weekend Mornings to talk about this new and important memorial.
This features the names of hundreds of Vietnam veterans from Brighton.
