It’s time to nominate an emerging leader who has made a significant contribution to Colorado! 9NEWS, in partnership with the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, is looking for an extraordinary individual to honor with the 9NEWS Leader of the Year award!

This award goes to an extraordinary individual who, in the early stages of his or her career, has demonstrated character and competence through his/her behavior and accomplishments.

Nominations are welcomed from all areas of Colorado, from the private or public/nonprofit sectors and every walk of life. Individuals may self-nominate.

Three finalists will be chosen by a selection committee in December, Leadership Foundation alumni will then cast their votes to select the 2017 9NEWS Leader of the Year. The 9NEWS Leader of the Year Award recipient will be announced live at the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation's Leading Colorado luncheon on March 21, 2017.

Nomination forms must be completed online. Nominators must answer four short essay questions that describe the full magnitude and impact of the nominee's accomplishments, achievements and commitments. Total length should not exceed 1,500 words. You will be required to include contact information (full legal name, address, birth date, email and phone) for both the nominator and the nominee with your submission, as well as the nominee's current resume, biography, headshot and up to three letters of support. Deadline for nomination is Friday, November 18, 2016 at 5 p.m.

The Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and 9NEWS will present this award on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Leadership Foundation's Leading Colorado luncheon.
