COLORADO POLITICS — Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is set to headline a high-dollar Denver fundraiser in late September for Colorado Democrats, including gubernatorial nominee U.S. Rep. Jared Polis.
The event, set for Sept. 23 at the northwest Denver home of former Interior Secretary and U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar and his wife, Hope, will raise funds ahead of the midterm election for the Democrats’ statewide coordinated campaign, dubbed the Fearless Project, party spokesman Eric Walker confirmed.
Ticket prices range from $1,000 to $10,000, and guests can chip in as much as an additional $33,900 for the Democratic National Committee.
According to the invitation, Polis — who is self-funding his campaign and limiting contributors to $100 donations — will be on hand. Other Democratic candidates are expected to attend, Walker said.
Two years ago, Clinton named Salazar to chair her transition team. Salazar was considered a potential Clinton running mate early in her presidential campaign.
