The man accused of killing Kamille ‘Cupcake’ McKinney appeared in court today.
Patrick Stallworth is charged with capital murder in the death of the 3-year-old. In court today, a Birmingham police detective said Kamille died from asphyxiation. He also said she also ingested toxic levels of methamphetamine and the sleeping pill trazodone.
The detective testified that Stallworth told him co-defendant Derick Brown gave the child the drugs. She is also facing a capital murder charge in the case.
Kamille’s remains were found in a dumpster at a landfill, ten days after she disappeared from a birthday party.
