DENVER - The Denver Fire Department worked a large trash and recycling fire in Denver Tuesday afternoon.
Smoke plumes could be seen from around the area.
The fire was at a plant located at 48th Avenue and Ivy Street in Denver.
"The whole entire property has got a fence around it, a barbed wire fence no less, we've got the high tension power lines going across here, we need to be really careful when we set ladder trucks up like this, that we are not getting our ladder trucks in the high power tension lines. And at one point in time, the power lines actually fell to the ground, while the firefighters were here," Lt. Mike Pylar with the Denver Fire Department said. "That's easy, that's an easy recipe for a firefighter getting injured."
