You might be thinking about Thanksgiving, but don’t forget: Christmas isn’t that far away.

What better way to get in the spirit than to see the big Christmas tree that’s soon to grace the West Lawn of the US Capitol?

You have a chance to do just that at noon on Friday. The tree will be at Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World at 7970 Northfield Blvd. You can read more information about the event here:

In what may be the greatest road trip of all time, the tree (an 80-foot Englemann Spruce from Idaho) is traveling across the country with a giant potato (because Idaho).

The tree was cut on Nov. 2 near McCall, Idaho and is making a 4,000 mile journey to its final destination.

People in Colorado got to check out the tree in Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs earlier this week.

You can track its journey via this map:

The tree lighting is slated for early December.
