3 CSU players suspended, will sit first half at New Mexico Bowl

Colorado State wide receiver Robert Awunganyi, running backs Rashaad Boddie and Marvin Kinsey Jr. were suspended and will miss the first half at the Gilden New Mexico Bowl.

A few hours ahead of kick-off at the Gilden New Mexico Bowl, three Colorado State University football players were suspended and will sit the first half of the game.

CSU said the three players violated team rules.The school did not specify what the violation was.

Wide receiver Robert Awunganyi, running backs Rashaad Boddie and Marvin Kinsey Jr. are the Rams suspended of the first half.

All three are second year players and were not expected to start Saturday's game.

Starting linebacker Josh Watson is also suspended for the first half due to a targeting ejection against San Jose State University.

Boddie is a redshirt running back from Washington. He played in 11 games for the Rams this season with 44 carries, 254 yards and four touchdowns.

Kinsey Jr. had 26 carries this season for 124 yards and he ran for two touchdowns.

Awunganyi played in 10 games this season, mostly on special teams.

Colorado State takes on Marshall at 2:30 p.m. in Albuquerque.
