Colorado Eagles tie series against Condors 1-1

The Colorado Eagles are knotted a game apiece with the Bakersfield Condors in the first round of the AHL playoffs.

The Colorado Eagles and forward Andrew Agozzino thrilled the crowd at Budweiser Event Center on Saturday night tying their first round series against the Bakersfield Condors a game apiece. 

Agozzino scored a power-play, shorthanded, and an even-strength, empty-netter for his first playoff hat trick in a 4-1 victory in their opening best-of-five series. 

Eagles' goaltender Pavel Francouz was solid between the pipes recording 29 saves on 30 shots in the contest. 

The team took a 2-0 advantage with Agozzino's shorthanded tally in the second period before the Condors netted their first of the game to make it 2-1 early in the third. 

The veteran forward recorded two more goals, a power-play goal and an empty-netter later in the third to seal the win 4-1. 

Colorado's special teams was also solid shutting-down the Condors on 7-of-7 power-play chances, while also netting 1-of-7 with the man advantage. 

The two will face each other in Game 3 at Rabobank Arena on Tuesday, April 23 at 8 p.m. MST.
