KUSA - Colorado continues to produce quality baseball players out of high school and that trend continued this weekend as 12 athletes were selected in the 2014 MLB draft.

Most have already committed to playing in college with the mindset of moving up in the draft after they develop their game more, but seeing your name next to a big league logo on draft day is still a monumental achievement.

The following players were selected:

Max George, Regis Jesuit HS - Colorado, RD 6

Jordan Holloway, Ralston Valley HS - Miami, RD 20

Owen Taylor, Grand Junction HS- Toronto, RD 27

Carl Stajduhard, Rocky Mountain HS - Atlanta, RD 27

David Peterson, Regis Jesuit HS - Boston, RD 28

Cory Voss, Pueblo South HS - Colorado, RD 34

Nick Leonard, Mountain Vista HS - Atlanta, RD 34

Brody Westmoreland, ThunderRidge HS - Colorado, RD 35

Ryan Kokora, Fairview HS - Atlanta, RD 35
