9NEWS Prep Rally Honor Roll: Plays of the Week (10/2/18)

This week's Prep Rally Honor Roll features two record-setting performances and one impressive one-handed catch.

KUSA — This week's Prep Rally Honor Roll features two record-setting performances and one impressive one-handed catch.

Coming in hot at number three was Erie standout, Noah Roper. Yeah, we've seen him a few times on the Honor Roll this fall -- but the kid keeps making huge plays. This week, Roper surpassed the 5,000 yard career rushing mark in a stellar performance against Mead. The senior running back put up more than 300 yards on the ground, and added two interceptions in his team's win over the Mavericks.

This week's number two play is now in the Colorado high school record books. Fairview quarterback Aiden Atkinson threw for 687 yards and nine touchdowns -- in ONE GAME. No, we're not making this up. Both numbers are 11-man football state records in Colorado, and both are good enough for second place all-time in the state through all classifications.

But this week's top play comes from the 9Preps Game of the Week. With 32 seconds left in the game and Eaglecrest trailing a touchdown to cross-town rival Grandview, QB Dylan James threw a perfect pass to Ty Robinson who made the incredible one-handed grab for a Raptors touchdown. Their team would then score a two-point conversion to top the Wolves, 36-35. Seriously, though, that catch. It may be the front-runner for our play of the year.

We've ranked them, now we'd like to hear what you think should be our top play! VOTE for the play you think should be placed in the top spot. The winner will be announced during the 9NEWS Sunday morning Prep Rally. If you can't see the poll below, visit: https://plbz.it/2Nl3zxD.
