9NEWS Prep Rally Honor Roll: Plays of the Week (10/9/18)

This week's Prep Rally Honor Roll features some football fanatic favorites including fancy footwork, big runs and interceptions on the grid iron, as well as a boys soccer boot from way out.

This week's Prep Rally Honor Roll features some football fanatic favorites including fancy footwork, big runs and interceptions on the grid iron, as well as a boys soccer boot from way out.

Our No. 5 play starts with a break check. Columbine's Braeden Hogan's shifty footwork sends two defenders flying by before finding the endzone to give the No. 3 Rebels another big win.

In the No. 4 play, Mead's KJ Jacobs is going the other way. He reads the play perfectly, tipping the pass then intercepting it before hauling it in and bringing it down the field for the score. The Maverick's emerged victorious against the Skyview Wolverines 37-7.

Wheat Ridge's Rocco Tate holds our third play of the week with a great gallop for the score following a fumbled pitch. Rocco would recover nicely, securing the football, reading the coverage perfectly and bouncing to the outside with a 76-yard run leaving the defenders in the rearview mirror.

Our No. 2 play is from the soccer pitch. Dawson School's Jesse Isenhart can go the distance, sending a 41-yard free kick over the keepers head into the back of the net. The Mustang's defeated Denver Christian two-nil in this contest.

Lastly, we come back to the football field for our top play this week. Kent Denver running back Will Morland is resilient. Morland was tackled in the backfield, however his knee never touched the turf. The senior bounced back to his feet and sprinted to the endzone for a Sundevils touchdown.

We've ranked them, now we'd like to hear what you think should be our top play! VOTE for the play you think should be placed in the top spot. The winner will be announced during the 9NEWS Sunday morning Prep Rally. If you can't see the poll below, visit: https://plbz.it/2OcgI10.
