9NEWS Prep Rally Honor Roll: Top Plays of the Week (4/17/2019)

Watch the nominees for 9Preps Play of the Week, then vote for your favorite.

This week's top plays are out of the park! This week's Honor Roll includes both boys and girls lacrosse, girls soccer and four baseball plays all wrapped into one stellar game.

Beginning our list at No. 5, Colorado Academy senior Sloane Murphy was shifty against the Regis Jesuit Raiders. She juked through two defenders making her own lane to the net before firing the ball in the lower corner. The Mustangs' win against the Raiders kept them undefeated so far this season.

Wheat Ridge's Molly Kratzer is our fourth ranked play after a beautiful goal against the D'Evelyn Jaguars. Kratzer bounced outside after taking a pass in the slot before shooting far side to beat the goaltender and tie the game, 1-1.

Broomfield's Eli Korac, playing for the Monarch Coyotes boys lacrosse team, went coast-to-coast against the Rocky Mountain Lobos. The senior took it from his crease, through multiple defensemen before flying through the air to net his first career goal.

Our runner-up this week is an overtime winner. No. 1 ranked Cherry Creek lacrosse's Dante Orlando was clutch with an overtime winner against the No. 6 ranked Regis Jesuit Raiders. Orlando slung a ball from ten yards out to lift his team past the Raiders and avoid a loss to remain undefeated.

This week's top play is out of the park, four times to be exact. Peak to Peak senior Nathan Poretz sent four home runs over the fence for seven RBI against the Kent Denver Sundevils.

We've ranked them, now it's your turn!

VOTE for the play you think should be placed in the top spot. The winner will be announced during the 9NEWS Sunday morning Prep Rally. If you can't see the poll below, visit plbz.it/2IsBUMV.
